The stature of a centaur rearing up was located in the Dogpatch Arts Plaza at the end of 19th Street where it crosses Indiana Street. To the statue's left was a mural and to its right was a cafe. Behind it was handy seating for the weary tourist or the resting lunch eater.

Its rear feet were attached to a round metal plate, and that plate was attached to a raised wooden platform. The tail rested on the metal plate but didn't appear attached to that plate.

The centaur's front legs were raised as if about to kick. Those legs were attached to a brightly painted torso.

A closer view of the Centaur's face with a modern building behind it. Notice how a bent piece of metal can emulate a cheek bone. The pointed ears suggest the Centaur is not half man half horse, but rather half non-man half horse.
