Cervantes head was atop a rock and looked down at his creations. Kneeling at the base of the rock were Don Quixote of La Mancha and his squire Sancho Panza, the characters from Cervantes' novel.

A closer view of Cervantes head mounted atop the rock. His head was shaded by a eucalyptus tree. Spiders had set up home in the ruffles of his collar.
