A sign was attached to the base of the sculpture which described it. That sign read:

Following a 1983 trek in the Peruvian Andes, Hasson was inspired by
the mysteries of Inca stone work. The Ark resembles a large
archaeological artifact. It is symbolic of a sanctuary that protects life and
is a reminder of the importance of preserving endangered animals
and their natural habitat.

The front of the sculpture featured a Buffalo to the top left, and a Rhinoceros to the top right. Other creatures were hidden blow.

A closer view of the buffalo also revealed the bird perched atop a block over the buffalo.

A closer view of the Rhinoceros which also revealed the horned African creature below left.

An even closer view of the sculpture revealed two more animals below the horned African creature.

A partial view of the back of the sculpture revealed a hippo with its mouth open as a threat.

An elephant lifted a railroad tie with its trunk on the other end of the back of the sculpture. Other animals could be seen hiding between and below the hippo and the elephant.
