Grevy's Zebra (Equus grevyi)
The well muscled head of a zebra reminds me of a ballerina on her toes.

Zebra (Equus quagga)
The only Zebra we saw was this one, who hadn't been raised with other zebras so instead hung out with a group of Roan antelope. The rest of the Safari West zebras had found a "private" place on the property that was not visible from tour cars. As a consequence those other Zebra were rarely seen. Grevy's Zebra ( Equus grevyi)
The zebra's stripes are not camouflage but a confusing optical illusion to confuse predators.

Zebra (Equus burchelli boehmi)
A beautiful Zebra with gorgeous long lashes. I would love to see Zebras in California fields alongside the horses, sheep and cows. We have Ostriches and Llamas, why not Zebras?
